Eclectic Glamour at The Crane Estate

Nicole & Tim, August 14, The Crane Estate

Nicole and Tim were married in the beautiful Immaculate Conception Church in Newburyport, then threw a very fun and unique reception at one of my favorite venues, The Crane Estate in Ipswich.

Nicole and Tim's wedding was full of many fun and glamorous elements with lots of textures, like glitter dipped feathers (!), mixed metals, succulents, and lots and lots of astilbe, which is a feathery, colorful fern like perennial.

There were so many details in this wedding, it’s almost hard to pick just a few favorites! Every dining table was different but each was unified by the color scheme - white with gold accents. Some tables had candelabras with moss at the base and mini gold vases with all white flowers. Other tables had jewel covered lanterns mixed with gold mercury glass vases and white flowers. Other tables had a collection of smaller arrangements mixed with candles.  I used tons of hydrangeas, roses, and astilbe. Nicole really loved astilbe so it was everywhere!

Nicole also loved candlelight, she wanted the room to feel like it was lit with candles,  so we add tons of different styles of votives to each table.  Making each table a bit different gave an eclectic, interesting feeling to the room.  Each guest had their own special table to enjoy!

Nicole and Tim sat at a sweetheart table with a sequin covered linen - it really stood out as the special spot for the newlyweds.

The special decor touches didn’t stop with the dining tables - there were chalkboard signs covered with moss, a vintage doors hung with vintage gold skeleton keys served as a the escort card display, and we covered the mantles and guestbook table in moss and succulents. Tim and his groomsmen even had vintage skeleton keys in the boutonnieres!!

One of the reasons I love the Crane Estate so much is that each bride has her own vision on how to use the space - every wedding truly is different and feels new!

The decor really stood out at this wedding, but there was another fun detail that I wasn’t involved in creating.  Rene Rancourt was a special guest at this wedding. He has sung the U.S. and Canadian national anthems at the National Hockey League's Boston Bruins home hockey games for over 35 years! The Bruins have a special place in the Nicole and Tim’s heart, and what better way to celebrate that unique facet of their relationship?

Carly Michelle was the photographer at this wedding, she did a beautiful job of capturing all the special details at this wedding.
